The Joker

Just think about the chill you felt while watching "the Joker" laugh in a cinema hall full of people.
Didnt you feel alone, helpless mortified.

Remember there were sound effects, camera angles, dialog delivery and of course the amazing Heath Ledger to complete the effect

Just take a moment to imagine a similar chill going down your spine reading a comic (e-book) no sound effects, no camera angles no dialog delivery and no heath ledger. Just an effect created by a few pictures and printed words.

Now you are ready to read these two...

"The Man who Laughs" and "The Killing Joke".

The Joker as a character is adventured into. His unfortunate origins identified. And it is horrifying.

Unlike our contemporary Joker "who is looking for nothing logical" this Joker is "definitely looking for something". He wants to prove his point about madness and wants vendetta.
And he is damn horrifying. He kills for fun and is particularly fearsome in it. He doesnt simply use knives to delay the death. Look at those faces in the first few pages of the "Man who laughs" and yo will know. His plans are so so devillish (refer to his plan to drive Gordon crazy in "The Killing Joke"). I thought Christopher Nolan's Joker as an Angel.

If you are contemplating to read them a word of advice: Don't do what i did.. read both of them back to back in the night. I had a few nightmares. Don't tell me i did'nt warn.

I cannot imagine being locked p in a room for one month with books like this. To know more about what i am talking please research on Heath's preparation for the role.
